Girl, is that You !!!

Okay, so today we are going to talk about something that a lot of women are doing and what is causing men to rage over, we are going to talk about what I call 'Costume Makeup'.

"What is costume makeup because it sounds like Halloween makeup and I don't see anything wrong with that." Well, that is kind of where I'm going with this, of course Halloween makeup is cute for what? Halloween, right, but Halloween is once a year and usually people want to look like a character or something different, but for what I am talking about is when women use makeup to turn into someone completely different and not for Halloween or any kind of event, no, its just because it looks nice and for some people its an everyday thing.

Now as a makeup artist I see a lot of other makeup artists doing their thing and I mean DOING THEIR THING! When makeup artists do their job most likely it is so beautiful you want to cry. But also for some makeup artist we see that they use an excessive amount of foundation and sometimes pulls it down to the neck. "Well why is that?" Well that is because they are painting you different, to look different and using foundation that is most likely not your color and by the time you get up and look at yourself you most likely either look nice with caked up makeup or you look like a clown with caked up makeup.

Honestly it becomes very aggravating to see these differences because you know that its not you and what the most horrible part is, is when you take your new found face and meet new people especially men. "Um excuse me but why do they even matter, I don't do my makeup for them this is for me because I look cute." And honey that is perfectly fine but you also have to understand that if you seen a guy with nice skin, muscular, thick, tall, with a nice fade you aren't thinking about personality, or what he can do for you as a man, all you are thinking about is what can he do for me now that will make me happy, mhm. Now what if you make it to the hotel with this man and things are getting heated right, then you guys start doing ya thang. Then all of a sudden he takes of his shirt and there are no muscles, he takes off his pants and it was a banana the whole time, what if he takes his hair piece off and he has a bald spot on the top of his head? What would your reaction be? You're not going to be like "Well I understand, it's okay, don't worry about it we all have something that were not happy about." HELLLLL NOOOOO!!! Your ass is going to sit there with stupid look on your face because this is not who the hell you went to the hotel with. You will be pissed and so mad you could cry, buuuuutttttt, when it comes to women its something different. A guy sees you looking all sexy with your lighter skin, small waist, big thighs, nice butt, and a sparkling face that caught his attention from across the room. He comes to you introduces himself and wants to get to know you. You Know. Then the same scenario, you guys are in a hotel room about to boogey till your wig gets pulled off, your makeup is coming off because he's rubbing your face and up under all of that makeup you went from Rhianna to Lil Wayne. Is that fair? Do women think that this is okay? Because then not only do we do this ladies but we also don't get "comfortable" with the guy that you're with until later on in the relationship or later on in your situationship. So not only are you hiding who you are, but you are also making someone wait to make sure that they like you for you before you pull that wig off, and that foundation. And of course men aren't stupid, they know that our eyelids aren't shimmery and our cheeks don't sparkle, they know this, but they also don't mind it, just as long as it doesn't look stupid and you're happy. But you can't come with this costume makeup expecting things to be great, it's not right and damn sure isn't fair.

Anywho, since we don't do our makeup for the men anyway then who are we doing it for? The women outside, social media, yourself? If you don't know please figure it out and stop changing your appearance. Wearing makeup that is nice and we can recognize you is awesome but when you pop up to an event and people have to ask who you are and what have you done with our friend, trust me its not a cool sight. There are many ways to do makeup and many ways to look awesome but one of those things don't have to consist of being someone else. You are beautiful the way you are and no one can change that. If you feel as if you are not good enough, just know that you are plus more. Because trust, there is someone out there who is going to love you for you, how you look and who you are.

Maybe you just love the look of being different, then I mean hey, do you, or the other you, but hey just do it. One thing that I have definitely realized is that Asian women have this stereotype that they feel they have to portray and I feel that it's garbage. Because with all of this anime you would expect that they look like that so they sculpt themselves to look like these characters. I can say that it's stupid and it shouldn't matter all day but maybe they feel that that is what they have to do. But I would definitely say please stop the madness, this is major costume makeup taken to the extreme, cut it out and love yourself the way you are, there is no need to be Mulan. But what the hell do I know, I've never even been oversees so I'm just going to mind my business.

But women please, stop with the costume makeup. Makeup is great to enhance your beauty, but don't change it, or better yet don't change you. And of course people do what they want which is fine with me cause it has nothing to do with me, but um don't get mad when finally get comfortable enough to wipe it off and when you do and he sees you he says "Lil Weezy" just know you did it to yourself because you aren't being yourself. So just be you.
